Danielle Jacobs has been practicing for over twenty years in The Netherlands, and The United States. During that time, she has investigated and used many different types of treatment in an effort to be the most effective for her clients. In the USA, she was introduced to Heart Centered Hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is the process of psychotherapy with a client that is in an induced hypnotic state (hypnosis). The therapist induces the client into a relaxed, suggestible state of mind, and then offers suggestions for relief from symptoms. During the process, the client is safely guided to access both subconscious and conscious material. Hypnosis is used to assist the client in accessing the inner resources within the subconscious mind, in order to facilitate positive life changes and healing of emotional trauma. This is done by offering suggestions to reframe negative and unwanted habitual patterns of thinking, feeling and and behaving into positive, healthy and empowering choices. Danielle Jacobs finds that hypnotherapy is the most effective and least expensive treatment available today. It is least expensive because it requires fewer sessions overall.
An intake session must be scheduled before using hypnotherapy as a treatment modality. In most cases, after the intake, people are seen for a two-hour (120 minute) session. The first 20 minutes is spent in talking and uncovering information. Then, the next 85 minutes are spent in Hypnotherapy, and the last 15 minutes in completion, weekly instructions and scheduling the processing session. Ms. Jacobs finds that a great deal can be accomplished with this format. In fact, most clients report that they received more benefit from their first hypnotherapy session than from several regular ‘talk-therapy’ sessions. Most people report seeing significant improvements and some reach their goals after several sessions. Hypnotherapy is a well documented and scientifically proven modality for those who chose to look deeper and use the power of their subconscious mind to make lasting changes in their lives.
However, there is no guaranteed outcome and hypnotherapy is not a ‘quick- fix’. As with any type of therapy, hypnotherapy is effective over time and requires a commitment from the client to participate, trust the process, and follow recommendations to apply what is learned outside of sessions. You can see a hypnotherapist as a guide who helps you navigate your subconscious mind. It’s a journey you and your therapist take together, where both take equal responsibility for your healing and transformation.
During the session, Ms. Jacobs offers to make a ‘reinforcement recording’, which is used to extend the benefits of your session. If you wish to do so, please bring your own recording device (Iphone or voice recorder). Hypnotherapy recordings should never be listened to while driving, or during any other activity that requires your undivided attention. With hypnotherapy, the benefits continue to increase after the session and during the weeks that follow. In the long run, you will save time and money if you choose hypnotherapy as your mode of treatment. In most cases, it is recommended to schedule once a week at the beginning of treatment, followed by a one hour processing session the following week. As you progress, the sessions may be decreased to every other week or another frequency.
During hypnotherapy you may revisit unpleasant memories and feel strong emotions in order for positive changes in thoughts, behavior and emotions to occur. If you have any concerns regarding your health, you are advised to consult a medical professional before starting hypnotherapy.
If you still have questions, please feel free to discuss them with your therapist; otherwise, please sign the following agreement.
I knowingly and willingly request hypnotherapy treatment by Danielle Jacobs, LMHC, for myself and/or my child. I acknowledge that this is in no way replacement for any medical treatment.
